Christmas Remembrance Service 2019

Borders held their Annual Memorial Service on a very cold December 12th, we are always very humbled when families join us, some travelling from as far as an hours’ drive away.

The service was conducted by Gill Coltman, Civil Celebrant and followed a theme of Courage, Remembering, Hope.  Everyone who attended was given a candle to light in memory of their loved one and were  also given a wooden heart with a red ribbon to write on and take home.

We also ensure that candles are lit for families who  let us know that they are unable to attend on the evening.

A cheque was presented to The Lavender Touch, a Scottish Borders based Charity which helps people living with the side effects of cancer, Shona Wilson who kindly joined us from The Lavender Touch explained a little about why these donations make such a difference to the Charity.
